JESUS CHRIST
Is Jesus Christ really God or just a man?
Certain religions believe that Jesus was a good man but not God manifest in the flesh. The Bible tells us in John 1:1-2John 1:1-2

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
WP-Bible plugin “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] The same was in the beginning with God.” This verse tells us that the Word is everlasting and was with God and is God. The question is Who or what is the Word? Some will point out that the Greek word underlying this English word is Logos which means something that is said. What they won’t tell you is that it can also mean a Divine Expression which we believe is Christ. An absolute proof that this refers to Christ is found in verse fourteen of the same chapter, John 1:14John 1:14

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth.
WP-Bible plugin “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” The Word is a name for Christ! This verse and many others clearly show that John 1:1John 1:1

WP-Bible plugin refers to Jesus Christ because when you look at the context this Person who took upon flesh was Jesus Christ when He left Heaven and came down to earth to live among mankind. One religious group translated their own bible, the New World Translation, in 1961 which, conveniently for them, has changed the wording of the Bible to fit their doctrines. Over the next while I am going to add a chart that comes from a book called The Trinity by Edward Henry Bickersteth. This chart has a side by side comparison of the scriptural testimony of God the Father, or to God absolutely on one side and the scriptural testimony of Jesus Christ on the other side. I know there will be some that take offense to the title of the book The Trinity because the word trinity does not occur in scripture. There are many terms that we use today describe a principle we have already seen in scripture. These terms do not originate from our theology but from rather from scripture. A scriptural term to describe the Trinity is the Godhead.
