WELL’S GRAY PROVINCIAL PARK: is the largest wilderness park in East-Central BC. It is home to 39 waterfalls. The largest and most popular of these is Helmcken Falls, which has a vertical drop almost three times as deep as Niagra Falls. Some of the attractions of this park are extinct volcanoes, lava beds, mineral springs and glaciers. The whole park is 5,250 square kilometres and has many habitats, flora and animals.

ANIMAL INTERACTIONS: While we are in the Well’s Gray Provincial Park, we will not be feeding any wild animals we encounter. We will also be careful not to approach any wild animals (e.g. bears, deer, elk, etc.). We will be taking bear-aware precautions.

ENVIRONMENTAL FOOTPRINT: We are going to be very careful not to litter or deface the area we are travelling in, and we need all on this hike to abide by this. We believe we are stewards of this earth and must treat it respectfully.
